I've just finished watching 'Happy!' on Netflix... really fucking good

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2452242/?ref_=nv_sr_1

The IMDB blurb of 'An injured hitman befriends his kidnapped daughter's imaginary friend - a perky blue flying unicorn' doesn't really do it justice but the 8.4 rating is spot on, it's ultraviolent, drug fueled, disturbing and very funny.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

^^ Mystery road was me Frank - I was wondering if anyone was watching it so glad to hear you enjoyed it. What do you think of some of that scenery?!

Patrick Melrose is interesting enough for me to watch it but can be like watching a long slow train wreck.

Thanks to a memory jog from Frank, I just started Mystery Road - great show!

Thanks again for "Mystery Road" The whole thing was outstanding. The scenery was fascinating, I've never been to Oz and never imagined it was so spectacular.

I've been trying without success to find somewhere to d/l Staying On (1980) about an elderly British couple who stayed in India after independence. It stars Trevor Howard and Celia Johnson - both of whom were in Brief Encounter (1945) Any suggestions?

^I just checked and can't find it in my normal sites - that said, Pirate Bay, which would have been my first best bet, has been down for several days. I'll post if I find it.

^My pleasure, it was an excellent book and I'd like to see it as well, having lived for three years in India. It was filmed in the hill station of Simla, which is a beautiful area.

Got interested, so did a deep search. No luck. For obscure TV movies, PB remains as the best hope. It will eventually pop up again...it normally does. Until then, I've exhausted my options. Someone else may have better luck.

Yes, the regular TPB has been down for a few days, however, they are still going on this link which I've used, and apart from a slightly different screen layout, works: https://thepiratebay3.org/?url=https://tpbship.org/top

Looking up Mystery Road and there seems to be a recent movie and current TV series of the same story.

Will give the movie a run first.

Anyone bothered with 'A Quiet Place'

Hopefully not. Predictable and we know after 2/3 how they'll be beaten.
Creatures themselves are nothing new or innovative.

The hype machine claims it's horrificly scary, load of bullshit. If anything, it drags after about 15mins.

    Sorry for spoilers.

    It's rubbish

Already been recommended on the whole multiple times in this thread, but I saw the series finale of The Americans last night.

Brilliant TV. Sad to see the series end but they went out on top.

Just finished re-doing Narcos s03. Was better the 2nd time.

Looks like S04 is due around September, based in Mexico this time, as opposed to Columbia, possibly based on that Joaquin El Chapo Guzman fella.

Google pirate bay proxy when the normal pirate bay is down. There are two pirate bay sites in Thailand, both fast, both have annoying pop ups.

Pirate Bay is really pissing me off - wish they'd get it together. Over the years I've tried many of their proxy sites - I've yet to find one that works other than to put up outdated content.

^ I think they are at constant war against "The Man" They do one thing, the system does another etc. Just be thankful there is something. One day there will be nothing free on the Internet not even a simple Google search.

Yup I've completely given up on them.

Constantly up and down, never seemed to search index correctly, pop-ups... Just got too much of a hassle.

    "put up outdated content"

Never noticed because I was looking for old shows, but could very well be.

EZTV has been off and on as well, does get frustrating.

And in TV news that probably nobody other than me cares about...

Comic Book Men has been cancelled. No Season 8.
