"Last Flag Flying" (2017) was good, at least in my opinion. A Vietnam veteran reunites many years after the war with two of his buddies to enlist their help in burying his son, a Marine killed in the Middle East. Sad, political, funny in parts - it may not appeal to all. But, as a Vietnam combat veteran who has had a number of family members fighting in the Middle East, it hit me.

Great film if you're about to contemplate suicide.

For those who haven't already seen it, I found SEA4 of "Black Mirror" to be excellent. All good stories. 8/10.

"Darkest Hour" screener is up. Gary Oldman won the Best Actor Golden Globe for his portrayal of Churchill.

"Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" (2017). Frances McDormand was brilliant. Woody Harrelson was excellent. Supporting actors were great. IMDB gave it an 8.3 - I'd agree. The scene with the parish priest alone was worth the price of admission. Best new movie thus far.

Updated rehash. Far funnier than Mel Gibsons embarrasing turn. a lot better looking women of course, daughter isn't a dyke.
    Good for romantics.

    Sweet. Cheers.

Loved the first one, thought the second one was crud.

A bit like Trainspotting and T2.

Will give ROTFS3 a go, cheers.

"La Casa de Papel" (2017) Spanish language, hard-coded English subtitles. IMDB gave it an 8.6. I'm into the 5th of 13 episodes and thus far would agree with IMDB. A very interesting tale of a most ambitious heist. On PB.

I'm increasing my vote to 9/10. This is a fantastic series, and Alba Flores rocks.

Anyone mentioned Ripper Street? I'll second it if they have. Imdb gave most episodes 8 or close

    The janitor

    - Gets her kit off
    - Doesn't say a word

    Ideal woman, I'd say.

Hard to define. It's beautifully filmed and the story is a bit Beauty and the Beast.

Has a strong cast and a well written script, and an unusual storyline set in the cold war.

Michael Shannon steals the show as the baddie, but there are other strong performances.

Bit weird in places, but ultimately worth a watch.

    7/10 for me.
