Here's a good movie I've not seen anyone mention on this thread. Ingrid Goes West.

Ingrid is mentally disturbed social media addict who has just been released from an asylum. She immediately finds a new target to obsess over and moves to California in order to insert herself in the woman's life. It is funny, dark, and unexpected.

A reasonably well made low-budget SciFi with an interesting premise.

But it got about 3/4 of the way through and they seemed to run out of ideas a bit (or perhaps money).

I really liked it but then I'm a huge fan of the novel and the original mini-series so I was probably always going to unless it was an utterly dire piece of shit. Can't wait for 'Chapter 2'!

Partially. I general I found the movie to be stupid, and the characters irritating.

(2007) Well written British drama 7/10

Spiderman actor Andrew Garfield does a really good job in the lead, a million miles from some of the Hollywood trash he later made.

A young man is released from prison after many years and given a new identity in a new town. Aided by a supervisor who becomes like a father to him he finds a job and friends and hesitantly starts a relationship with a compassionate girl. But the secret of the heinous crime he committed as a boy weighs down on him, and he learns that it is not so easy to escape your past.

Worth a look.

"Czas Honoru" ("Time of Honor"). IMDB gives it an 8.1. Six seasons of 13 episodes each. English subtitles. Follows a group of young Polish officers, trained in England and then parachuted back into Nazi-occupied Poland to work with the Resistance. I've just started SEA2, and got hooked early on in SEA1. Not a lot of seeders, so the downloads are a bit slow. Seasons 1 & 2 weren't too bad, but the remaining 4 are slow going but no worries as I won't be ready for them for a long time. All six seasons are on PB. If you're a WW2 buff, this is for you. I agree with the 8.1 thus far.
