    'Rectify' is worth a watch.

    Also 'Quarry'.

I anticipate some real bombs there.

However, Dunkirk is apparently a magnificent spectacle of Saving Private Ryan proportions.

    Looking forward to that one.

Yes, absotively, but Auro: Give this a try, if you haven't already:

It fires a shot over the bow of the wire, imo.

Well, I don't see anything resembling a true story, actually. The trailer must've just reminded me of something.

    Some interesting (non-spoiler) trivia:

Series created by Ray McKinnon. As an actor, he is best known for his role as Reverend Smith in the HBO series Deadwood (2004) and for his role as Lincoln Potter in the fourth season of the critically acclaimed FX show Sons of Anarchy (2008).

Produced by the same people who produced Breaking Bad, doesn't have tense, action and the characters aren't under constant threat. Rectify is more of a character-study than a deep narrative, there isn't a giant mystery or conflict it strives to describe a much more personal experience of the protagonist, and does so wonderfully.

Yeah, that's a great show. Definitely worth watching.

I'm half way through Nobel, half way through season 1 of The Americans, 5 episodes into Quarry and 2 episodes into Mafiosa, but none of them have really gripped me yet, so I've gone from one to other.

    Christ, it must do.

That second episode was like it had been written by an eight year old.

This site is sometimes OK with movies, but great for TV series.
You need a VPN if watching from the UK.

I'm reading that the film 'Moonlight' done good at the Oscars.

Strange, says a lot about how others watch films. Which is why I'm putting it up here.
I found it slow and boring, lasted about 40mins. Naomie Harris' character was excellent though, but the story and the kid were predictable and cliched.

Oh well, make up your own minds.

^I never even considered watching it. Another 'finding yourself' movie plus a gay Negro. Yawn.......perfect Oscar material.

^I didn't get far enough to realise the character was gay.

Anyway it swept the pre-oscars, not the awards themselves.

    Silly me

^Means nothing other than the Academy caved to political pressure to pick an utterly meaningless film. Bitch.
