I watched homeland series 1 a long time ago and thought it was not bad and then could not get into series 2 - the premise ran out after the first series

^^ Think it ended with them waking up in a quarantine hospital type place if I remember rightly. I'm terrible for that, didn't have a clue how the last season of Boardwalk ended when I started watching the latest one. Sometimes they give really thorough recaps and sometimes not so much.

Only half way through the first episode (of 12 which have all aired already) but I'm gonna stick my neck out and recommend this already.

No good if you don't like subtitles. It's an Italian crime/gangster series based on a 2008 film and I reckon it's a winner. Really interesting to see (fictional) life in a culture you're not used to instead of being UK/USA based which pretty much everything most of us watch is.
