Seeing as I've watched all the others I thought it was OK.

What do you think of "Weeds"?
I found it to be tedious of late.

It's lost some of the freshness of the first couple of seasons for sure, but the 'Andy' character is really good (as is the younger son and the character Kevin Nealon plays) and I generally enjoy the show.

Having read a short premise for the current season (which I won't post here so as not to spoil it for anyone) I will give this season a watch- it's usually worth the 22-minute block of time.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

The group, known as the 2nd Mass (for "Massachusetts"), is led by Boston University history professor Tom Mason who, while in search of his son, must put his extensive knowledge of military history into practice as one of the leaders of the resistance movement. Mason's son Ben has been captured by said aliens.
Added: Actually it's two episodes back to back by the looks of it.
Saw the first two and will probably watch the rest since GOT is on hiatus until next spring. Seems to be dumbed down for a US family audience but watchable.

Funny that, it was so whacked out I made a note to watch the next episode smashed! OTT for sure but still good to watch for a laugh. The lezzo MMA fighters were pretty cool.

Just about to watch the first 'Weeds' for this season. It went steadily downhill and kind of felt like they were writing the script as they go, trying to prolong the life of this once classic. 'Breaking Bad' was doing this too. Some shows just need to end and give some closure. It sucked when 'Sopranos' pulled the plug but it was probably a good move. Hoping 'Boardwalk Empire' comes soon and matches the first series. That was good.

I'm fairly sure UK Nova only did the first few episodes. It must've been released to DVD.

^ Yeah it's an ABC shop job I think.

Another great ABC doco is 'Alone Across Australia' a bloke goes on his 3rd attempt to cross Australia from south to north. Films himself and does a good job. Anyone got a DL link for this?

I've just watched the first couple of episodes of Military Hospital. I downloaded it because I don't mind a bit of medical drama and I used to enjoy M*A*S*H when I was a kid.

The story follows a military hospital in Afghanistan with doctors from a few different nations. The main female character is quite fit for a white bird, especially when she's out doing her morning jog with a tight sweat jersey and a gun strapped to her side. And there's a bit of comedy added by a classic English surgeon who can't keep it in his pants.

I don't think this show will win any awards but its not a bad watch and something a little different that we haven't seen for a while.

That's why they call it a docudrama. Still worth a watch. Good performance all around.

Actually I thought it was incredibly shit casting. William Hurt is too nice to play a conniving bastard, so his character came across as more of a victim. The bald bloke out of Californication can not pull off playing head of a major investment bank. James Woods was OK, he can play a nasty c*nt in his sleep. But one of the birds out of Sex and the City as adviser to Treasury? And Paul Giamatti?
    Three words. Big Momma's House.

The whole thing was a joke, it was too full of shit to be a documentary, and too poorly written and acted to be a drama.

More of a comedy if you ask me.

New TV Series for the summer

There's been a few S01E01's appearing on EZTV in the last week, as the networks struggle to fill the holes left by the end of the regulars like CSI, House and so on.

Here's a brief description of them, with my comments where I've bothered having a look.

Wilfred: The story of Ryan, a depressed man who believes he is getting nowhere in his life and plans to kill himself. In the middle of his attempted suicide, he is asked to watch his neighbor's dog, Wilfred, but Ryan can only see Wilfred as a real person instead of a animal that everyone else sees. As they begin to bond more and become friends, Wilfred teaches Ryan a life lesson about people, love, and living.

Yes, it is as shit as it sounds.

Suits: On the run from a drug deal gone bad, Mike Ross, a brilliant college-dropout, finds himself a job working with Harvey Specter, one of New York City's best lawyers.

    *zzzzzzzzzzzzz* *zzzzzzzzzzzzz*

Happily Divorced: That bird with the whiny bronx accent and big tits that was in some godawful show and nearly died of cancer.

Probably better if she had done.

State of Georgia: The supposedly comedic next step up for some slag who was a teen success on the Disney channel.

    'Nuff said.

The Protector: The series revolves around a single mother, Gloria Sheppard, who struggles to balance her family and professional life as an LAPD homicide detective.

Did you like Cagney and Lacey? Really?

    Not good I'm afraid.

That was obviously eztv having a typo and they must have corrected it since I posted what they originally wrote.

That gives me an idea for a brand new series about a boring bint on her menopause who solves homicide crimes using only the power of geometry.

There is actually a Canadian series called EndGame, where the protagonist uses his Chess expertise to solve crimes. Strangely, I have never downloaded it.

As for "Necessary Roughness": "A Long Island psychotherapist whose personal life unravels when she finds her husband cheating. Diving fully into her work, Dr. Dani Santino soon finds herself as the most sought-after therapist for high-profile clients. Athletes, entertainers, politicians and others living in the spotlight clamor for her unique brand of tough love therapy during their moments of crisis. Although her career is reenergized, it wreaks havoc on her life as a newly minted single mom of two teenagers."

I don't fucking think so somehow.
