Our Brand Is Crisis.
Sandra Bullock and John Malkovich as leads pitted against each other on two opposing political strategy teams for an election in Bolivia promised scenery and a plot worthy of Malkovich.
Broken promise. The plot was dull, barely a sense of tension, a climax that was a sparrows fart. Even the dirty tricks mudslinging was tame. Almost worth the watch for Bullocks final ploy, which was brilliant and unexpected.
Also, I don't know what it's called in cinematic jargon, but it was filmed in a sort of close way that made me think of soap operas. Someone here will know why soapies have an unreal quality to them...this had that, so no Bolivian scenery shots.
