"House Of Cards" was bad enough that I killed it after trying three episodes. "The Little Drummer Girl" is pretty good, despite a slow start. I just started episode 2, and it's picking up. I don't always like Le Carre, so we shall see how it goes. Also gave up on "Mayans MC"; just not very good.

Thanks for the The Spy Game. I missed the Dinner Out meaning....

Much better than the Alone We Fight which was tedious and not very good.
I had to keep fast forwarding to get away from the inexpensive dialog scenes.
Were there female medics in the field during WWII?

I won't explain the reference if you missed it, for the sake of spoiling it for others, but I'm guessing you had it on in the background and weren't really paying attention.

A historical film about the siege of Ansi Fortress and the epic eighty-eight day battle that Yang Man-chun and his Goguryeo troops fought against 500,000 invading Tang dynasty men to defend it.

    Movie here:

Mayans MC is another I finally gave up on. "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off, but turned out to be quite boring.

    Homecoming

Watched the first six episodes of this, and I'm enjoying it.

Just 30 minutes per episode. Shorter episodes or fewer of them seems to be the way these days. The makers of 'House of Cards' should have taken note. So many seasons of that basically stagnated from (roughly) episodes 5-10. I gave up at about that point in the previous season.

As much as I said that Operation Finale should not have been a movie but a six or eight parter, I thought Homecoming was the complete opposite.

It's like they've taken a 120-page movie script and and padded it out to a series. And the disappointing end made it a complete waste of time for me.

I kept thinking there was a reason for the slow pace, but I realised it was because there really isn't much of a story at all that couldn't be told in movie format. Julia Roberts vanity project.

    Kin (2018)

A kid discovers an alien space gun in a disused building at the start of a story about family woes, a criminal brother and a road trip to escape villains they rob.

With a "twist" at the end.

    Disappointing.

    4/10

Mandingo Massacre turned out a bit scary, dloaded on recommendation, didn't know the story line till it started, and also didn't realise we had visitors.

    Posting from the doghouse.

The Andromedia Strain (2008) mini series in 4 part, but watching in one long movie of 2h40

not as bad as I was expecting despite Harry poor reviews and questionable taste in movies

The original was funny to watch, but bad acting, bad scene cuts, and bad shortcuts taken everywhere in the story

at least the mini-series was more thorough, and more "believable" with much better acting and scenes cuts

Anyone know where PirateBay's fucked off to?

I've tried the other sites but it looks like you need to be a trained ninja to get the bastard torrents downloading.

Erm, no Harry was right, its shite. Poor CGI and even less suspense than the original.

    Dynasties.

Blue Planet was wonderful. I cannot find the words to describe David Attenborough's latest offering but I will try - breathtakingly brilliant. I doubt that it is available just yet as a torrent but I urge you to find a link as soon as you can. These wildlife cameramen from Bristol are easily the best in the world and nobody narrates a story better than Attenborough.

Do yourselves a favour and start looking for it.
