I don't hold with all this foreign stuff really, although that Swedish series was good about the kid and the US killer last year, forgot the name.

"Flame and Citron". Very good Danish movie about two Danish WW2 resistance assassins. Eng subs. Different twist on the standard war movie. On PB. 8/10.

Was work waiting for the 3gb hd version
GOT now at episode 5 of season 7. Episodes 1-3 were fairly awful, lots of people standing on vantage points making rather daft and badly written speeches. Episode 4 was better but still not up to the vibe of the first few series. Episode 5 however was good, with a return to action and suspense, showing some promise for the remaining season.

Has blondie got her tits out yet? they seem to have gone off the shagging and tit scenes, pity. One or two too many storlines going, what's that three eyed raven stuff about, they could have done without that.

Quite enjoying "I know who you are", a Spanish production about an eminent lawyer who comes to with amnesia after a car accident. Complication is that his niece, a student lawyer, has gone missing and her blood stains and mobile phone are found in the back of his car. Sets the stage for some family and relationship mysteries. This aired recently on BBC4, though these torrents are from 'Sno' with his subtitles:

    Trailer:

A few more episodes in this evening, and this series just gets better and better. As with most series, it takes a couple of episodes to lay out the characters and their relationships before you get into the core plot. This one doesn't disappoint. Definitely one of those "I'll just watch one more before I go to bed" type series.

Samuel L. Jackson is "The Negotiator". A 1998 action-packed cop movie. IMDB gave it a 7.3; I thought it was even better than that at a near 8. Long movie; 2 hours 20 minutes. Never slows down; complex, but easy to explain to spouse if required.

Old movie, but I'd never seen it; wife liked it as well.

Indeed, I suppose it must be a bit challenging to read subtitles quickly if you are a fucking semi-literate cretin.

I found that quite boring and formulaic, not to mention utterly predictable.

    Horses for courses I 'spose.

I guess. I hadn't seen a decent movie in a while; I quite enjoyed it.

Dark Tower, the absolute pits and with a darkie as the hero to boot. Awful fantasy rubbish, don't say you were not warned.

On of those "Films of the book" jobbies and apparently they've made a pigs arse of trying to get everything into a movie.

There was a cam version of that film available.

Picture was so dark, you could just about make out the heros teeth when he spoke

Just finished watching SE1 also. Very entertaining. Starts and finishes the series with a bang, it must be said.
Didn't catch any of the hype beforehand, so started watching it on merit.
Excellent, imo. Can't wait for SE2.

^I reckon Series two might just be spreading itself a bit thinly over 10 episodes, or 8 or 6 for that matter.

I packed the Dark Tower first book The Gunslinger in around 80% of the way through in the hope that the film might make what seemed pretty pedestrian storytelling (and I'm a fan of a good few King books) come alive off the page. Sadly it seems that the latest King adaptation is going the way of 90% of the others.

Started watching a TV show called salvation, bit Syfi but set today, finding it pretty good, not over the top at all.

Think anyone who watches it will know who the lead is supposted to be.

It's on ezytv, but you need to do a search as it doesn't come up on the A to Z search.

"Matrioshki". A Belgian series dealing with the trafficking of Eastern European and Thai girls into the European sex trade. Two seasons of ten episodes each. Hardcoded English subs by SNO.

Centered in Belgium, but cuts to parts of Eastern Europe, and to Thailand in the 2nd season.

Tough life for these girls. A disturbing, but well-done series. 8/10.

^ Where did you download that series? Just looked at it on PB and no seeders for the first episode and only 1 or 2 for the rest.

"The Son", a recent offering from ABC is a 10 part drama around a Texan family in the mid 1800's to early 1900's, and their transition from cattle ranchers to oil barons. Decent cast including Pierce Brosnan. Doesn't have the drama of "There will be blood" (the Daniel Day Lewis epic) which has a similar theme, but decent viewing.
