Movie/tv download recommendations

I've recently been getting into those modern Afghan era war movies.

We just watched Zero Dark Thirty about the team taking out Bin Laden. I'd recommend that. Have downloaded Seal Team Six (I think it's called) which I think is based on the same mission, but we haven't watched it yet.

Eye in the Sky is good.

So is The Kingdom.

So is the one about the team based in Libya and trapped in an embassy(?), when the US wouldn't release the f16's from their base in Italy to do flybys that would disrupt the enemies. I forget the name.

Any other recommendations for modern based war movies?

"A Conspiracy of Faith". This is a movie length production by Danish TV, and revolves around the disappearance of children from families associated with a religious sect. Good performances from the cast.

"The Absent One" is actually the first in this series. I had just watched it, then moved on to this one, only to discover the same characters.

A Russian film, but subtitled, about a tank crew during the 2nd WW. I really enjoyed this movie and I'd give it a 10 out of 10 for just about everything.

'Sand Castle' is ok. More a drama, than all out action. Group of US soldiers defend a village in Iraq and try to win them over.

'Joes War' is about a returning Iraq veteran who had bad PTSD. Decent tv movie at best, but well written, which detracts from the 3rd world acting on display. Ending's a bit unexpected, which makes a nice change.

British movie about terrorists, chemical weapons and the SBS.

Frankly it comes across as a long episode of Spooks or Strike Back, so if you liked those shows you probably won't be disappointed.

New series about the Norse Gods in modern times. Enjoyed the first episode, looking forward to see how the series develops.

I think in the next year there should be new seasons for Narcos, Vikings, Peaky Blinders and Billions.

As it turns out, wife hated it. Turned it off. Said it was stupid with no plot or story. Said it was crap only a DJ would watch.

I just watched 3/4 of Stratton and gave up.
Absolute tosh.
Awful acting.
Unconvincing storyline and factually pretty shoddy as far a military drills are concerned.
2/10.
