    "Deep Water"

Very Good - well worth seeing

A Documentary about the first solo , round the world yacht race in 1967. Mainly about Donald Crowhurst with much footage from the event. A fascinating look into the trials of deep sea solo sailors.

Been going thru my list of old films I enjoyed, Re watched Rainman (1989), terrific film.
Grand prix (1966) won't suit all as the story line is a bit thin but technically a brilliant film, great picture quality and stunts. the first use (for a movie) of in car camera in a race car.

I am downloading "The Tudors" Season 2,

already watched Season 1, and really liked it, at least for some "historic" values, even though the story was changed a bit. That Henry VIII is such a proud cock, he is quite amusing, probably miscasted and not to the role, too handsome and too much of a player.

Comedian Bill Maher examines the presence of religion in many of the big news stories of recent years, from Muslim riots over cartoons to the Ten Commandments in front of courthouses, a born-again Christian in the White House and Scientology in the birthing room.

Thought it was pretty good myself, I love a few chuckles at the expense of religion.

Another good one is "The God Who Wasn't There", also quite funny. There is also "The God Delusion" with UK scientist Richard Dawkins, not comical though.

Started downloading Ashes to Ashes, the follow up to the wonderful Life on Mars.

Also, I'm downloading the first episode of the US version of Life on Mars, despite knowing that it'll be yet another US fuck-up of a good idea.

Actually it's not too bad. But Harvey Keitel is much too old to be Gene Hunt.

A breath of fresh air after that abysmal Seppo version of Life on Mars. I implore all US TV executives to refrain from making a hash of other countries' TV programmes (and movies) in the future. Thank you.

^ watched 4 episodes to date, its the way Brit comedy used to be i.e Hilarious with subtlety.
You can stick your Little Brit and shameless up yer arse this comedy is way better, had tears running down my face at times and I'm not easily amused.

^ Have you got the ones they filmed in Thailand? I had them a wee while ago but I've deleted them now.

I've got all the early episodes somewhere though.
