Internet Video Explosion

On the lighter side, have you noticed the explosion in online video shorts, like those seen on YouTube?

Takes the medium out of the hands of the MSM and makes just about anyone with a video cam and some computer savvy, into a film maker.

YouTube just sold for $1.6 billion, so the concept must be deemed leading edge by Google.

Anyone here make a video for this medium yet?

fancy starting a company in 2005 from scratch and selling it 18 months later for almost 2billion.

Yep, the people who know what they are doing can still make fast money in this business. Skype is another example of very rapid value increase.

agreed, but i dont really understand the hype re: skype - they are not really any different to yahoo and msn...

ok, ever one to rise to a challenge i have uploaded a video on to youtube.

a video the captain of british argosy took on the bridge and cargo control room in 2003. He was just showing off his new camera he had bought in hong kong.

sound is a bit out of synch with the pics though. must be something to do with youtubes file conversion process.

after converting the file to divx the sound is now in synch after uploading.

so thats something i have learnt today.

never got around to fixing the toilet though.
