I thought BT was being monitored now. In Europe they started prosecuting kids and parents for BT download. Not safe anymore. The trackers, the files etc... are being tracked.

Newsgroup seems to be the new place. Everything is there, but you need a special newsgroup client to parse and merge all the files automatically. Download can reach 30KB/sec in Thailand, 1MB/sec in Europe. Very convenient to download DVDs for watching in the evening.

Got the BSG (Battlestar Gallactica 2003) Season 1 and Season 2 in DivX

Anyone got Season 3 yet ? I find that series highly addicting. The parallel with the current political situation and Iraq is stunning. The writers must get their scenario from the daily news feed. Great SF. I haven't seen such a good SF series since the 70s.

BT is generally safe. It's people who are uploading whole files (seeding) that get in trouble. With the newest encryption protocols it's next to impossible for anyone to know what you are uploading/downloading. The biggest problem with BT is the ISPs throttling the I/O so that your speeds suck ass.

Newsgroups are the original file sharing scene and are as old as the hills. A major PITA generally.

yes before it was, but there has been a lot of progress. With the right client, it's like using FTP. You choose the file or do a search, then double click, and there you go. No need to play with any parameters or encryption or losing tracker connection etc...
