    Scarface-PS2

Scarface is essentially like Grand Theft AUto - San Andreas but better.

It doesn't have any of those stupid missions where you have to fly a remote controlled plane that were to hard to complete.

It does have some fairly difficult stories to complete.

I am absolutely hooked. I played from 8am yesterday morning until 12 last night. I must have put in at least 25 hours straight now.

The missus says that if I play it today I am sleeping on the sofa tonight.

The PS2 is in front of the sofa - bonus.

i have a chance of my first century in 'PS2 games to recommend' thread and I find you posting a new thread for this to be very unsporting.

I can teach you how to hit tons slimboy.
You need to keep bumping your thread with pointless and slightly controversial posts to keep the ball rolling.
pictures of flange also help and go undeleted if unspotted by moderators.

I'm waiting for the PC version to finish downloading. It's at 97.1% at the moment

I'm in South Beach trying to protect the manager of a trattoria. What's the best way of doing it? I've tried blocking the front door with a car but had trouble targeting some of the attackers from within the trattoria. Tried then blocking the front door with an armoured van and running out the back door and round to the front but the manager somehow got passed the van.

Only tried this mission 6-7 times but got a feeling it's gonna take a helluva lot more attempts. Is perseverence the key? The manager doesn't seem to take too many hits before he's killed.

The trattoria mission is easy enough

Get the m16 with grenade launcher mod

Blow up the truck and car that first come in

run to the back and blow up the next car

    reload and shoot

fire of a grenade at the incomgin van and carn then run inside

first attackers come from the front door kill them

turn left and shoot at the next attackers

turn again and shoot at the back door

back to the front then the side again

The owner will point in the direction of the attackers

    Try not to kill him.

Got to admit I'm enjoying this.

    A few niggles though.

    1) No shagging the tarts?
    2) WTF can't Tony climb or jump?
    3) No skill improvements like GTA - vehicles are a bit too easy to drive.
    4) AI of the enemy is fcuking braindead - Like shooting fish in a barrel.

    But it is fun.

I dont know if it will have the lasting appeal of GTA though. e.g. you can't arm yourself to the teeth and just go fcuking postal on everything and anyone in sight like you can in GTA

I've also got 'Just Cause' which I havent bothered installing yet. May try that out tomorrow.

I got just cause at the same time. haven't even looked at it yet.

I will be picking up Bully and couple of other games this weekend to stock pile.

Not played Scarface all week. I am now protecting Sandman. I own everything.

Finished Scarface with a score of 86% but not inclined to play any further.
Like Just Cause, missions become the same thing over and over again but for different reasons. i.e. go and find someone and kill them cos they done this or kill them cos they done that etc.
Both very good games and enjoyable to play but don't offer much in the way of variation in missions overall to make me want to re-play them again.
