2-part documentary with loads of previously unseen (by me, at any rate) footage of Ali from being a young amateur hopeful and prospect, to the social game-changer and boxing legend through the 60's-70's and beyond.
Winning an Olympic gold in 1960, Cassius Clay returned home supposedly a 'hero' to a town that wouldn't even serve him a meal in a "white" restaurant.. Brilliant docu and mostly all using Ali's own voice and narration, using assembled interviews and fight footage in a way that tells his story in his own words. Superb.
