I want my, I want my MTV....

What with the Intynet and everything music videos don't seem to have the impact they once did. Nonetheless, I'm sure that we all have our favourites and I would like you good people to post your favourites here. Why? Well, I'm not sure really, I'm not all that bothered if truth be told....Kinda like when you meet someone at a 'buffet-table' and you splurt out with, "So, what type of car do you drive?' and they reply. 'Well, actually I'm a dog and am not allowed a driving license; and can you please get your face out of my dinner'.

I'd forgotten about that one! I wonder if you can get it on the net? I liked the bit where the girl rescues the magazine from the rubbish bin, as if she knew something... Brilliant!

    Edit:

Got it - 48.5 Mb. Very nice!

^ Yep, Robert Palmer did some of the best music videos. Too bad he crashed at such an early age.

Wonder where he got all those identical looking chicks?

All of Michel Gondry's videos, but in particular Devil's Haircut with Beck and Hyperballad by Bjork.

With him, I could go on though... his Everlong video (for Foo Fighters) is one of the best attempts to catch the feeling of dreaming I have ever seen on screen.

A good chilli peppers vid was Californication - all animated so that the four of them are characters in a computer game, very clever.

Another fave has to be Peter Gabriel, Sledgehammer. Like A-ha's Take On Me, damned innovative at the time.

Duran Duran are commonly believed to be the instigators of the modern music vid tho... (least that's what fat bloke down the pub told me...)
