    Dead Space. XBOX 360

Have you played it? If not you really should, the graphics are absolutely stunning and the level of detail and concept design is incredible.

It's a space horror survival story with a convincing plotline that could be a movie and almost feels like it is sometimes.
Part slash 'em up, part puzzler, part platformer, a very balanced blend and with zero gravity thrown in for good measure in parts.

The suspense is nerve wracking with a sense of imminent danger, shadows flickering, distant screems and footfalls and an eerie soundtrack,
and the action is adrenalin pumping with multiple enemies coming from random spawn points, limited weapons and such carnage... oh the horror.

The screenshots really don't do it justice.

Play it with the lights off and nobody at home.., if you dare!

Just didn't think it was that great a game.

Repetitive, nothing new. Nice graphics and atmosphere but it just wasn't that good.

Try FEAR 2 if you want something scary and shooty.

I've heard that it possible to have problems when you play online with a chipped Xbox. I've not looked into it because I've got the ps3 but its something I'd check out before getting one chipped as the online play kicks ass compared to the regular games.

A friend got a modded one and we've just had a play online with no issues. Im not all that bothered about a modded one as the back catalogue of games should keep me going for a while. You can pick up games for about £5 in some places.

Online gaming is where it's at, so you might as well get a shop bought console and save the hassle of getting your account shutdown, also Microsoft will repair it under warrranty of course and for eternity after that if it gets an E74 hardware failiure, it will repair it free of charge.
Get the 60gb model that's plenty of memory and don't forget the Wifi widget which is extra. Get to grips with Battlefield: Bad Company and I might see you online, the newest version BF:BC2 comes out in March so you'll have time to practice, you will need it.

Other top games are Racedriver Grid, excellent single player and online car racing with crash damage, Burnout paradise is good too but more of an arcade type racer. Any of the Call of Duty titles, a bit too arcade like for me, but if like getting straight into the action and owned by 12 year olds! Far Cry2 excellent single player game with a basic online mode, Mass Effect again excedllent with a sequel out soon, Fallout3 huuuuge game did a review here some time ago... well I'm sure you find your way, Halo3 of course, I'm into shooting things and crashing cars but aren't we all

For review, tips and guides I use IGN, IGN Games: Games, Cheats, News, Reviews, and Previews it's almost essential with some of the bigger games these days to have internet alongside you, also with your Xbox Live subscription you will get access to the Xbox.com homepage where you can add microsoft points to purchase downloads, well you can actually activate your account from there in the first place, you can also customise your avatar there and use it as a messenger..

    Pffft! PS3

    Wolfenstein (2009)

    Wolfenstein for PS3 - Wolfenstein Playstation 3 - Wolfenstein PS3 Game

I think the best idea with a lot of games is if you can rent it for a week and see if you really like it before buying it.
