The Girl With the Dragon Tatto

Over the weekend one of my fondest friends who does not actually exist outside my imagination let alone in the real world (the outdoors as some of you may well be acquainted with) thoughtfully suggested that I turn of the farking mac and go for an amble in the park with or without geese (he never actually mantioned geese but IHOMO a park is not a park without geese - even them big black ones that folks call crows) and to read a pulp fiction or less heavy type of book ... how he knows what books I actually possess I have yet to figure out but the binoculars do reflect somethings in my veranda doors...

Anyhows not having said book I just carried on as normal and headed straight to the liquor store neither passing crow or collecting $200...

Fast forward to this fair day and the postlady rang... a parcel pour moi... and cosmic wavelengths and all that a.n.other friend, a real live living and breathing one, had decided to send me a tome of pulp for my perusal.

Spooky how things work out... and a thank you to the weather for the drop in humidity...

    Mehappy day.

I will review said pulp fiction - funnily enough I was reading about it last week - maybe a review in Sundays yomouri... not read a fluffy book in years unless you call Metaphysics fluffy... like I do, seriously. Thoroughly recommended if you wish to think that way... anyhows...

'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' authored by Stieg Larsson...

Full stop... And a self-confessed sociopath at that...

The term paranoid-schizoid immediately jumps to mind...

I have friends who I wish were imaginary...

Actually, there's a few people on this board who I wish were just figments of my imagination too.

I had an invisible friend when I was a kid. He used to be with me all the time and looked after me. When I grew up I realised that religion was complete crap and fecked my invisible friend off.

Wrong take on this, meaning the kind of freind one has on the internet as per se.

Doesn't anyone here have fantasies about banging someone you are not actullay banging? That's an 'imaginary friend' or er fantasy as it applies.

It is a great read. Finished it couple weeks ago. Shame the ending though - the tattoed girl gets let down again. Excellent plot...

    Here Booners, especially for you:

Stieg Larsson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It pleases me to see that you are reading books written by a very radical author

Cheers lom, I have meant to look up some more by that author.
Well, one good turn deserves another and I have a recommendation for you.

Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny has sold 1,000,000 copies.

A philosophical manifesto by a reviled conservative radio host sells 1,000,000 copies with zero support from the mainstream media, zero publicity in the mainstream media, no interviews on the Today show or Good Morning America.

I haven't read it yet but the subject matter is apropos for these times in which we live.

    They are, to a degree.
