Isn't pirate software supposed to include a serial number?

I thought it was, maybe it isn't. I bought a copy of Final Cut Express a couple of months back and yesterday had a big clear out and installed it up to the point where I need the serial number, of which there is none on the packet or disc.

Is this usual or do I need to return to the shop and enquire as to why I have no serial number?

If not I will have to download one of the internet, they usually don't work but if you get an English version from a Russian torrent you stand a better chance.

Still, I'm a bit peeved that I paid 100 baht for an unusable copy.

Look on the disc there's probably a file called cracked or something similar. You copy that to the same directory as the exe file and run it.

If it does have an .exe, upload it to VirusTotal for a good scan before deciding to run it.

I am assuming it's all in a DMG file, so no extra directory or additional files to be displayed, you will need to use the SHELL to find it

In Short: You OwnED !!! or ask Quack Quack or slutla

Ah, I've just realized something - when I was told the serial number was on the disc I thought it was written on the disc itself in marker pen.

Fuck me I'm as thick as shit sometimes and deserve a lot of the flack I get.

I'll have a look at the files next time I load it, if not - thankyou Thetyim.

Well at least he had the balls to own up to his mistake.

I did the exact opposite once.
Spent ages searching a disk for a serial number and then found it written on the back CD cover.
