Hi speed internet connecton outside Bangers

Now then Tders, will be in Thailand for the best part of a year in the not too distant future and I need to be somewhere with a spot on broadband connection. Worked in Bangkok for 3 years previously and can't face it again! Any suggestions as to what other parts of Thailand are worth staying in and have the aforementioned rapid connection. Cheers boys and girls.
    In like Flynn!

I'm 10km from Phrae city with a TOT 3meg connection
I get about 2.6meg on a local speed test.

I don't think you will get a decent international speed anywhere in Thailand

Appreciate the responses guy, it seems it's as I suspected, a bit hit and miss. I'll let you know how I get on!

In Udon I get 5Meg for 1070 Baht.

A damn sight better than I ever had in Bangkok.

comes down to getting accommodation with a landline close enough to the DSLAM for good ADSL , or a place in an area where you have good reception for EV-DO .

HSPA is a long way down the road for GSM yet
