Terminator 4 to star Christian Bale

Bale To Star In Terminator 4

Ain't It Cool News reported that Batman Begins star Christian Bale is in line to play a grown John Connor in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, the upcoming fourth film in the SF franchise.

The movie is expected to reboot the franchise with a story set in the future, during the all-out war between Skynet and humankind. Warner Brothers plans to release Terminator Salvation in summer 2009.

A screenplay has been completed by John Brancato and Michael Ferris, writers of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly. It's the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out. I'd rather be in, in a good system. That's where my discontent comes from: being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin' straight ahead. Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

I think Bale is top drawer.
His commitment to weight loss and gain is phenomenal.

Less than a year after the machinist, he was pumped up for batman.

If it doesn't have Arnold in it it'll be worth watching - it would actually be also very nice to see the return of Robert Patrick.

    Terminator 3 was shite.

If it's the same guy writing this one, I don't have much hope for it.

    Terminator 1 was the best.
Arnold plays a great baddie. Unfortunately, as he grew more well known and influential, he shunned all baddie roles as he was afraid his image would suffer. In T2 and T3, he insisted on being a goodie and his character was not to kill humans, that was why the script was changed so that he shot people in the legs. Silly person.

Denzel Washington was advised not to do Training Day as it would be his first role as a baddie. He ignored his agent, did the role and won an Oscar for it.

T3 was almost an exact replica of the T2 storyline. Even some of the scenes were identical except 1. change the weapon 2. change the location. From watching the trailers for T3 I thought it would be set in the future war, and was disappointed.

Now T4 looks like what I hoped T3 would be.

Christian Bale is probably my favourite actor. I've never seen him make a bad movie. T4 might be worth watching.

watched the first Terminator film in Bangkok with "Ek" when backpacking around as a 19 year...... First time I'd stood for a national anthem and first time holding hands ALL the way through a film.

ahhhhh the nostalgia of it all!
