An Klondike (Dominion Creek)...
An Klondike (Irish for "The Klondike") is an Irish Western television series first broadcast on TG4 in 2015. It is also known by its international title Dominion Creek when streaming in the US on Netflix and on Acorn.
Three Irish emigrant brothers travel from Montana to the Yukon, Canada during the Klondike gold rush (1896–99) in the hope of striking it rich. They settle in the town of Dominion Creek, where they feud with Jacob Hopkins, the man who runs the town.
********
Just started watching the first season of the series...It's okay...Can't go much wrong with the gold fever theme...
Victoria and Abdul, the story of the Queen and her rather unpleasant Muslim servant who wormed his way into her affections from 1887 until she died in 1901. Hated by her court and her son Edward who did their best to get rid of him. He lied about Indian history to her and promoted his own Islamic cause at the expense of the Hindu. He taught her Urdu which she wrote as well, introduced curries into the menu and became her constant companion, well she was Empress of India.
Victoria & Abdul (2017) - IMDb
This documentary gives a better impression of him, the film is rather too kind towards him
^Is it any good? I was looking at that earlier, as one who lived in India for years.
V&A worth a watch, but if you need a hoot try Brothers Grimsby.
American Assassin
Good CIA movie blood, knives, guns, large bombs, hand to hand (not as good as Chinese heroes).
Entertaining spy movie. Not James Bond, but amusing.
Renegades, group of US army personal try to recover lost nazi gold in Bosnia 1995, mrs loved it so that should tell you something, about a watchable 5. Token darkie of course but does have a few decent action sections, especially at the start

Flatliners (2017)
I don't know why I bothered.
4/10
The Sound (2017)
I was going to watch The Snowman but hit this by mistake.
An attempt at a horror/thriller about some bird who debunks ghost stories getting stuck in a disused underground station with Christopher Lloyd.
Bag of shit
3/10.

Jeff is a proper retard but we all know that Eh.
Anyway, Just got back from Seeing the new Star-Wars movie in 3 D.
Absolute purler, brilliant visuals, good story line and non stop action.
Mark Hamel looks quite fooked though and don't look like he will be around that longer.
Jesus, age has really been unkind to him and Princess laya.
Those years of Cocaine abuse did not help.
Go see it, fookin tops.
The original Flatliners isn't that good now.
The Mountain between Us
Great bonding movie. The dog is the hero, as always. A tear or to at the end is acceptable, man or woman.

"Call me by your Name"...2 solid performances by Armie Hammer and Timothee Chalamet as characters overcome by unexpected lust at an old Italian villa in the Lombardy countryside...apparently these two breeders had to practice for days to get their kissing right and their efforts paid off...however, better editing, I feel, would have tightened up the film as things began to drag a bit during sub-plots. Still: 9/10 and an honorable mention for Italian director Luca Guadagno...

Majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd
The Snowman.
Tortuous and predictable murder mystery set in Norway (apparently from a series of books featuring the protagonist, one "Harry Hole").
3/10.
I see my review of a film got deleted just because I hated i and some mod loved it, pathetic
Took the kids to see 'The Last Jedi' at the weekend.
Confused, I could've sworn that I glanced at reviews calling it 'the best Star Wars film since...' but looking again this morning it's all 'the worst since...'!?
Anyways it seemed entertaining enough in the parts I was paying attention to and the kids loved it so that's the main thing I suppose.
More likely because you added your obligatory and entirely superfluous count of 'darkies in the film'.Originally Posted by Thai3

Speaking of which... I totally forgot but I watched 'War Machine' last night.
A Brad Pitt film of Netflix. The fact that it was less than 24 hrs ago and I'd blanked on it is all the review necessary I think.
^Brad Pitt will do that to ya...................
