^ sounds like something well worth watching.

I liked Donny Darko, but superficially; 7/10.

The first film sets up the main character relation ships
The second file sets up and continues their relationship, along with some of the threads. The third brings it to an unexpected ending, so watch them in order.

Peter Sellers classic. Not a lot of dialogue in this so a good one for your Thai girl to watch.

    Rampart

    Rampart (2011) - IMDb

picked that one and not sure what it was about, despite a good cast, it was mostly boring acting and boring story

    The Divide

Might just be me getting old, I thought it was sick and disturbing, a film about naff all, sadly many films just shock nowadays, bring back Charlie chaplin.

Enjoyed the descendants though simple and a little bit nearer to reality

Ye I thought the investigation team were bogus as well, was convinced in the court room after the defence evidence, they were going to rubbish all over it, as said previously well worth a watch, the Americans have now bought the rights to all films.

If anyone enjoyed the original girl with a dragon tattoo they will enjoy the other two.

    Thanks again
The first one was great, solid script, good acting and directing, a very good Euro thriller.
Second one wasn't bad either, although towards the ending it got a bit over the top imho.
Third one was shit, simple as.
The last film was the absolute climax to the trilogy. The persistence of the the main characters, the digging for evidence, the complete demolition of the prosecutors case/witness in a calm orderly courtroom, The recognition of her supporters, the very hint of a smile that they were there in her support, in the courtroom were all gems.

I was unsure of the spooks/investigator team, I thought it was a double bluff for a long time.

Ignorant, cunning, and possessed of boundless self-confidence and self-regard is our Caribou Barbie, Princess Dumbass of the Northwoods.

Julianne Moore is simply amazing. Check her out in "Far from Heaven."

Watched Margin Call last night. A pretty slick movie about the financial crisis of 08 starring Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons, Paul Bettany and Simon Baker.
A risk analyst working on a side project gets fired and as he is leaving he hands the information to a junior colleague who sets about solving the puzzle. What he discovers sets the scene for this interesting flick.Kevin Spacey is back to top form and as usual Irons delivers his cold-hearted ruthless lines effortlessly as only he can.Only problem I have with this movie is it seems to humanise and almost apologise for the very people who caused the mess and blame it on the peasants taking out mortgages.6.5/10

If you like opera, a mad Irishman in the Amazon jungle with ideas of being a a rubber baron and building an opera house "up river" you will enjoy this film

Fitzcarraldo (Werner Herzog, 1982) (download torrent) - TPB

A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.

Watched "The Shawshank Redemption" last night. Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins. I won't do a review, as I presume most of our viewing audience has seen it; suffice it to say one of the great prison movies. 10/10.
