Anybody else a member of this torrent site ?

I know NickA is cos he sent me the invite. Now I'm about to get booted out. Basically They have tons of seeders but not many leechers. They also have a rule that if your ratio is below 0.4 for a couple of weeks your out. Now I've downloaded two torrents from this site "Spitting Image" and "Rising Damp" and have a ratio of 0.2 and nobody wants to leech. What a load of bollox.

Pity as there's some great programs.

I am, but I don't want either show. I'm trying to download Entourage S4, but I might have got a dodgy torrent.

Yes I got an invite from NickA as weell.

I struggled to keep my ratio up at first.
You have to make sure that your first DL's are popular.
I started off with some 1970's stuff that I remembered as a kid and then had the same problem as you, my ratio dropped to 0.02.

Keep trying and you will get there.
I have now uploaded 26GB and got my ratio up to 1.3 so it can be done.

What a bunch of wankers on that site.

I've just been banned after 4 months for having dual accounts. The reason? - someone had a similar email address to me!

I got a warning and when I politely questioned why, I was booted. I tried clearing all my cookies and history etc and signing up again but no joy.

Can anyone suggest another site for UK TV shows? I tried UK Nova but it seems to be full.

This 'TheBox' thingy, is it mostly TV shows then? I'm still trying to find a decent replacement torrent site for comics* since Demonoid went out of service.

*Errr, which I'm only collecting in anticipation of my sons wanting to read them at some point in the future. Obviously.

Begbie..try finding any torrent that has lots of 'rar' files and lots of leechers, then just select a few of those files to download. They are normally 14.3MB each so once they are down,seed as long as you can.
The 'sample' file is always popular so take that as well as a couple others.

^^I wish I could say I have sympathy for you. But I don't, welcome to my World. A World where although I pay the same amount as you for, allegedly, the same speeds I've always had crap connections.

finally, finally tapped into an axxo torrent from mininova that is downloading at a proper speed.

that said, the average speeds are far worse than I have ever known them.

I've noticed that I have been getting slower than normal from Ip Torrents. I normally get 1M Down at home but even on their super seeded torrents I've only been getting 300KB/s or just over.

Thing is I don't know if it's that windows thingy where there is a limit on the TCP ports in SP2 or not. I might have been getting 1MB/s down on my linux box and not the windows one.

Can't remember now.

I'm sure that in azureus, my port settings were always the same.

with utorrent, I get a new port every time i start it up.

All that port-forwarding bizzo is a bit beyond me.

Even the, admittedly, detailed instructions from portforward.com left me confused. And angry. Very, very angry. Stupid ports!!

Strange coincidence today I phone TTT 1103 and they tell me to upgrade firmware which I try and fail. Then look at µtorrent and find it has suddenly started to run at max speed (105kBs). Both ISOHunt torrents.

Ask for Khun Poonsak on 1103.

weekends are definitely shite with Maxnet.

Yesterday speedtests were giving me 80kbps down and 20 kbps up thats bits not bytes, today back to normal 850kBps and 335 kBps thats bytes not bits.
