Are any non-Americans familiar with the Public Broadcasting Service aired in the US and on some cable/satellite systems? It's like the BBC of America, but almost no commercials. Lots of thoughtful, serious documentaries and excellent news, etc. I particularly like:
(Investigative Journalism)
FRONTLINE: home | PBS
(News Magazine)
Bill Moyers Journal . Home | PBS
(6/11 p.m. News - one hour duration: Fox News NOT!)
Online NewsHour | PBS
(Science)
NOVA | PBS
(Documentaries)
P.O.V. - See the world through my eyes | PBS
Independent Lens - an Independent Film Festival in your Living Room | PBS
Too often people judge Americans by Fox News or CNN, imho.
