    Getting DVD's Printed

The MBK printers who's services I have used to make business cards and letterheads have now said they can only print a minimum of 500 white DVD's despite saying a month ago that they could do however many I require at a price of 50 baht per DVD.

Upon my return a few days ago there was a different member of staff there and I explained I needed only 15 printed and she replied that they could only do 500 minimum.

I explained that I only needed 20 maximum and she replied that they could only do 500 minimum.

I explained that before they had said otherwise and it went on one ear and out the other and I explained I was a regular customer and that one day I may need 500 and some days I may only need 5 and she replied that they could only do 500 minimum.

Is there anywhere in Bangkok that can p-rovide this service without the bullshit hassle? I can pay 100 baht per DVD if need be but I only need a few done.

I also need assistance with the design from somebody who has common sense - what I mean by that is that having designed or chosen the picture for the disc - the staff member needs to apply the text in a circle using my chosen font and align the design so that the 'hole' is in a place where it won't obscure the subject.
"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly. It's the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out. I'd rather be in, in a good system. That's where my discontent comes from: being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin' straight ahead. Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

Why don't you go back when you need 500 then?

^ Try either the photographic shop next to The Old Dutch on Suk Soi 23 or Graphic World on the 3rd floor of Time Square (opposite Robinsons on Suk).

Ok, I now need a printers which can take my Photoshop DVD sleeve on a memory stick and make the dimensions perfect for me and print 20 or so.

I took your advice MTD r.e. the disc printing and the Koreans at Graphic World have a machine to print 'white' discs but don't know how to use it.

The small Photo/internet shop just off Cowboy maybe able to do it but they are quite expensive - I would like to widen my options, and I think an actual printers is the way to go - one who use Macs preferably.

I'm using a Canon 4200. Canon make several models that can print on printable CD/DVDs.

Only if you only need a dull grayish no color picture. OK for backups though.

TGS, there is a store that specialises in this in Fortune Town on Ratchadaphisek Rd ... on the fourth floor I think.

I got some DVDs burned, printed, case, and case cover done recently for somewhere around 30-40 baht a piece. It is run by a Taiwanese chap who speaks good enough English.

The front of the store is covered in CDs/CD cases/price lists etc ... they do a good job, but I recommend staying around to keep a close eye on the quality.

Mitsubishi paper used to sell stickyback print paper precut for DVD'd so you peel them off the backing - Included was a disc with a programme that did all the clever stuff with the format as well . Dont know if it is still available but may be worth a look - 1 Pack did 18 discs and cost about 10 Ringgit a pack in KL

^ Stickers don't look so good after time and are not considered professional, however - the software and templates would be useful.
