Are you talking about, "La-La Land?" .. I thought it was an excellent musical. The music was amazing as well!

Humbert must be pleased. Water running endlessly over tiles (Roma) won Best Foreign Film.......reinforcing once again my opinion of the Oscars.

Yeah it's all inherently subjective of course but I can't recall the last Best Picture winner I watched and thought 'yeah, that's the best film for sure'.

Who's picking up a gong at the Oscar?-worst-oscar-recap-jpg

The last movie I watched in a theater was "300" around 2007. That might also be the last time I watched a complete movie. No interest in make-believe horseshit.

But you love the Donald. Total absense of irony right there.

The only one of the lot I would watch. Roma was a Netflix production so gave it a look. 15mins was enough. Not my spec at all.

Norts, agreed there is a dearth of quality films and acting talent in there - for that shite mercury film to get a best actor gong says it all. Sheeesh.

    Agree. Total absence.

I don't love the Donald, just pretend to in order to wind-up the afflicted. Back to the Oscars -- saw a pic of the dude wearing a fancy dress on the red carpet. Strengthened my resolve to avoid the tripe.

Nothing against Spike Lee personally, but KkK getting all those nominations was very...'oscars'.

It's a really slow, unimaginative watch imo.

Will watch The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. All Coen Bros movies amuse me.

Wonder if the KKK have seen any significant number of recruitments since last night.?
