Help with getting pictures from Iphone to Laptop

Any techies out there! I usually don't have a problem getting photos from my Iphone 6 to my Macbook Pro, but lately, I get an error message on my laptop saying that the files could not be imported as they may be an unrecognizable file type or the files may not contain valid data. I'm not sure what is going on. I was going to do photo threads, but can't get my photos onto my computer. A gold star to any smart ideas out there.

cloud them with Dropbox or Skydrive, and get them back on your crappy Macbook the same way

iPhone is very clever you know. All you have to do is put it underneath your laptop, call it, when the answerphone kicks in, say "This is OWNER charlie big potato. Transfer all photos. Savvy?". Press #69wayhay# and then leave it for a night under the laptop. In the morning they will all be there.

I downloaded dropbox both on my computer and on my phone. When I click many pics, it says it is uploading, but doesn't seem to be uploading much.. perhaps I choose too many pics. Anyway, ya learn something new everyday. Ta buttfly

If all else fails. Copy the pics onto a flash drive and load em into your notebook.

Dropbox is the only way,

yes it's slow because all pics are being uploaded in some Amazon data centers somewhere in California, and then downloaded again locally in the notebook

Download googlepics for Iphone. They back them all up automatically to g-drive, or you can send a share link to another device.

It was a bit of a miracle when I plugged my usb from my phone into my computer. Most of the pics went into the dropbox on my computer. Now I have to figure out if I'll drag them onto my computer and resize or send them from there to be shared. Gold star awarded!

Step 2 - Connect the usb cable to notebook and move into computer.

other solutions have up to 50GB free,

Unless you've just said yes to the latest IOS and iTunes upgrade in which case all bets are off. Bastards have removed itunes access to most apps.
