But he is wrong it is not 13% of the population committing 52% of the murders it is only a small percentage of the 13%.

It is like saying all Muslims are Jihadists or all Americans are bombing Syria when in fact most are against the killing and in many cases to scared to speak up.

That was one of his points, the others are scared to speak up for they may be the next to be attacked in some way, killed even.

He is also wrong that it is not guns that kill for guns make those who have them brave enough to kill, without guns killing becomes a lot more difficult you have to get close to a victim before you can stick a knife into them, bash them with whatever.

With guns someone intent on murder can stand well back and kill they dont have to get close to their victim can even kill someone they dont know or someone who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Not having guns also make armed robbery more difficult, a shopkeeper confronted with a gun has very few options but if the would be robber has a knife for instance they can do something even if it is only turning and running which isnt an option against a gun which can kill at a much greater distance.

Yes guns kill and yes it needs someone to pull the trigger but without the gun that could not happen.
