Nowadays one can play a video game , such as GTA and you can be a bigger bad ass than Charles, for hours on end.
Today's video games are far more violent than the roles he played.

He was certainly in some classic movies.

    Charles Bronson Filmography

His old age was rather sad though...he got married to a much younger woman who was suspected of being a gold digger, and developed Alzheimers. Not necessarily in that order.
He was occasionally seen wandering around Beverley Hills muttering to himself. Very sad.

    Hard times. Love that movie.
Have the Death wish series on Dvd but its an embarrassment , very dated.
Didn't think much of Jill Ireland , but she did have big hips to bronco.

He also had a slight lisp. Although I bet not many people mentioned it to him.

Watched "Hard Times" again just recently, good film.

I take back my previous comment about his second wife.
    From an old news clipping:

    Bronson battles Alzheimer's disease

Charles Bronson is battling against Alzheimer's disease, his family revealed yesterday. The 80-year-old actor, best known for his role in the Death Wish films, could no longer leave home alone. He was having holistic and conventional treatment from doctors in Los Angeles and New York.
'The family has known for almost a year something was wrong because Charles just hasn't been himself,' his sister Catherine Pidgeon told an American newspaper.
She said Bronson 'speaks very slowly and sometimes his words are slurred'. However, he still recognised his family and they were to spend Christmas together.
His third wife, Kim, 39, rarely left his side. 'She is devoted to him and vows to stick by him,' added Bronson's sister.
The actor, who has six children from two previous marriages, met Kim shortly after his English-born wife of 22 years, actress Jill Ireland, died from breast cancer.
The couple dated for eight years before marrying in December 1998. 'Soon after, Kim noted Bronson had changed from being energetic and quick-witted to seeming dazed,' said a family friend.

^Great role for James Garner as well, and James Coburn, and many others.
