    Waiting for the next episode

Waiting for the next episode of The Americans and Better Call Saul is boring.

I am not a binge watcher. I do not sit in front of the TV for hours watching many episodes of a TV show but waiting an interminable 7 days between each episode is tediously slow.

I almost lose interest in the show and I have to fire up the last episode to remind myself what happened in the previous hour before consuming another show.

I want one episode per day.

Normally I wait till the show finishes then download the lot and watch one per day but that requires exercising discipline and delayed gratification and sometimes I am weak and can't wait so I download the 1st episode and then I regret it because 1 per week is too slow.

    The tortures of modern life.

It's better when there are a bunch of good shows on...then at least you have one or two of them to watch per day. But now, when there's very little, it does seem a long haul between episodes.

Try correspondents chess to assist decelerating your immediate-gratification (ego).

TV show...I'm trying to remember the last time I watched one. I missed [I]every[I] episode of Coronation Street, dreary me.
I did watch Batman as a kid but I can't recall if it was a daily or a weekly series of 30-minute blocks.

    Correct Looper...modern life...'torture' ? Poor soul.

I tend to only watch one show at a time, so watch an entire series over a few weeks, 0, 1 or 2 episodes per day.

Many don't have a life, Bob - except for the existence that's largely invented for them.

    Definitively agree with Fargo

But you forgot Billions. The season one ended two weeks ago, absolutely brilliant ! Eagerly waiting for season 2

    I use SONARR https://sonarr.tv/

It downloads automatically from KAT (no need usenet account) all the shows that you like, just need to give it the list and the quality you prefer (720p, 1080 ...). Then KODI keeps a tab of what you've already watched. Some show I watch every week, some I keep for the summer low season. Watching what you want when you want has never been so easy.

I can add Bloodline to that list.

Starts off a bit slow but builds steadily and strongly and the last episode is not an anticlimax as has been the case with a few series recently.

It has been on my hard drive for ages and I finally got round to watching it. Some good effort is put into fleshing out very 3 dimensional characters.

I just found out that there is a season 2 starting in May.

Anyhoo, to get back to the nub of the OP.

1 week between epsidoes is toooooo loooooong.

The world has moved on from the days of television schedules.

If you are going to release a TV show and you don't want to release it all in one go it should be one episode per day not one episode per week.

I have resolved never again to to give in to temptation and watch an epsiode of any TV show until there is less than 10 days until the last episode is released.

I have parked The Americans 4 episodes in and I will come back to it once it is fully cooked.
