Apple still on top

Apple has retained its title as the 'coolest brand' in Britain for a fourth year - but challengers are emerging in the form of Netflix and Instagram, according to an annual survey.

The CoolBrands top 20 has seen luxury names lose out to make way for six new entries including the home system Sonos, as its more established competitors Bose and Sony dropped out.

Other new entries are Spotify, suggesting some competition for Apple Music, Adidas and the healthy foods retailer Whole Foods Market. Coming second in the list is Ray-Ban, followed by Glastonbur

Yup, and much better integration of software.

This galaxy 6 is my last android device... nothing wrong with the hardware per se,
just the bloated software that lets it down IMHO.
Bought my wife an iphone 7 for xmas, so much smoother than my sg6 (or even my friends sg8).
Don't care if it's faggy, just want something with no glitches, bugs, or dramas...
Wonder if I should wait for iphone 8 in September, or jump on iphone 7 plus, as soon as we get to Japan...

It's not though. Haters say this but I've had only apple products for years and everything just works. No bullshit or drama. Costly, but worth it. There's a reason they're so big. And the laptops are even better.

^ I used to be anti-apple, an android fan boy... it's nice to have an unrestricted OS, hack this, change that, add widgets, yada yada... but it's not that important, I'll gladly give that up for a closed OS, but polished and hassle free.

I can't be arsed with all the glitches. sure, I can google-troubleshoot, but it's a PITA. Dunno about you guys, but it's the small stuff that annoys me in life, anything to reduce that crap and I'm in..

tbh, Samsung are much more elegant than iPhone these days, and also more expensive

Sammy still has the best specs on paper, best screen (highest DPI) great camera (on par with iphone)..

Will never be as smooth as iphone though, even with a billion gig of ram.. stutter, glitch, stutter, poop... until they tighten up their software (remove bloatware)..

you can disable Samsung bloatware, and yes it's pain

^ I know, I have (kinda, sorta) some apps are baked into the OS though... can't remove or stop their processes... I use smart manager, reboot every day, close apps, etc... still ram sits at 80% used...

It's "O.K"... bit better with the last update - but nothing like Mrs D's iphone 7... zero problems, smooth as silk, no dramas... now, should I wait for iphone 8, or grab an iphone 7 plus?

Wait for the 8. Supposed to have some very different features.
