    the Mafia videos thread

I felt the best place to put this is here in 'Speaker's Corner.'

This phenomenon can be applied to some current events today.

World-wide mafia of course, will start off with a documentary on the Gambino Family. More to come.

Lawyers to apply for injunction stopping Four Corners program on Italian Mafia

Lawyers for a Melbourne businessman are expected to apply for an injunction stopping the ABC from broadcasting a Four Corners investigation into the Italian Mafia.
Part one of the joint Four Corners/Fairfax Media investigation is scheduled to air on Monday night.
The program investigates the family and business connections between the Italian Mafia and their Australian associates and how the Mafia has infiltrated Australian politics at the highest levels.
On Thursday afternoon, lawyers for a Melbourne businessman informed the ABC they had been instructed to make an urgent application to the Supreme Court of Victoria regarding Monday night's planned program.
It is expected his lawyers will seek a hearing on Monday to attempt to stop the program from airing that night.
Four Corners is an Investagative current affairs program that airs on the public broadcaster on Monday Nights - easily the number one , and usually devotes the whole 50 minutes to 1 topic - they have broken many big stories ove the last 20+ years - Highly respected and very independent - they have been leaned on by the Govt many times over the years and have prevailed .

and can the mods get rid of the "mega" in these titles - it makes people reluctant to post in them in case they seem to be seen to support milkmans vapidity

I would be more inclined to watch stuff like this if a link was posted in the Documentaries thread. To simply dump it here without any opinion is contrary to the spirit of this forum.

Your feelings seem to be wide of the mark yet again. Mega-wide.

I have not watched it - only saw the mention on the ABC news site and found it interesting that the Italian Mafia could be so involved in Australian politics

I will watch it when I get somewhere without a metered connection

OK, ok. No more "mega" in threads.

Here's a recent hit. 30 years ago. Paul "Big Paul" Castellano get rub out on his way to eat in the Spark Steakhouse in Manhattan during rush hour.

What the hell is the point of this shit? If I want to watch videos there are plenty of video sites around. If you have anything to say or discuss then do it instead of clogging up the forum with endless, worthless thread-dumps.

These guys are real, pity we have to share the planet with such people.
Last book I read was 'Donnie Brasco'.
6 years undercover with the mob and never forgot who he was.

You have been warned about this before.
Wvy can't you get it into your thick head that this is an open forum nunb nuts?
You of all people, being such a dim witted cretin, will never have the rigbt to dictate or advise who can post where or when.
If you wish to post on here try to make ir relevant or at least vaguely interesting or amusing.
Here's a tip. Nothing you have ever posted so far, in any of your multiple guises has met the simple criteria outlined above.
You are a jellyfish with no redeemable features.
Please come back as a soi dog next time. Make sure you are neutered first.

Below is an interview with John Valesquez, aka "Popeye." He was Pablo Escobar's favorite hitman. He committed many deeds himself, ordered over 3,000 and also blew up a plane that killed over 100 people.

He was released from prison in 2014.

He actually claims he is not responsible for his actions.

I gained interest in Escobar and the Medellin cartel after starting to watch the series "Narcos" (don't laugh or attack please). I've been reading up on Escobar as well.

    Now Popeye is....cough.....a "youtube star."

This is the age we're living in.
