Netbook with SIM slot or else Tablet with USB keyboard

I was thinking instead of replacing my cracked Note 3 with an even bigger phone (GF has got a Apple 6+ now so cannot be smaller than that) I might get a tablet with a sim slot and go back to a smaller phone for calls and use separate device for browsing.

Optus lets you get 2 SIMs on one plan so you can have a separate device for browsing without the hassle of tethering.

Thing is I hate tablets and much prefer a small Netbook style PC with proper keyboard.

Anybody got a Netbook with sim slot they can recommend?

Alternatively maybe a tablet would be OK if I also get a small USB keyboard?

Either solution must have SIM slot.

Well I did not really understand Dill's answer but anyway to answer my own question: research on eBay seems to suggest that a popular Android 10.1 inch tablet with WiFi GPS and 3G would be the go. It can be paired with a leather protective case incorporating a physical keyboard. This gives a touch screen solution (better than a netbook) with keyboard which can also be a big-screen GPS navigator (if I can get a dashboard holder that big). Then I don't even have to get a new phone at all. I can go back to my dinky little Google Nexus which still looks brand new since I stopped using it a year ago when I got the Note.

Crackling good news that you can get 2 sims (acually up to 5) on the one phone number now so you don't have to fuck around with tethering to get data on more than one device from a single plan.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this thread.

    Thankyou!

I'll add that I got meself a 7" tablet with little keyboard a while back - never use it...

Smaller than an 8inch doesn't function well as a work device; folks reckon the 10" with a tablet can be ok. But, I reckon a 14" laptop is just a better device for work/play, and perhaps a nice 13" ultrabook, maybe at a push an 11" ultrabook, but that'd be a tad small for me... Good luck. Don't forget the pics and report. I've been playing around in this area for a couple of years, but still come back to a 14" laptop although in theory at least I like the idea of a good 10" tablet and keyboard that can function as a work and leisure device.

You need an iPad Mini, Facetime is much better than Skype to show off those heels

^ It depends what Looper wants to do. The iPAD mini and Xperia Tablet mini version are toys. If Looper needs to do some work then he'd be far better off with an ultrabook or small laptop, imho.

If Looper needs any kind of connectivity, if he downloads films from dodgy sites, if he wants to connect at work, if he wants to link to his tv, anything at all, then the iApple will be an expensive pain in the arse - Android is massively superior in this department...
