    42" TVs

I've decided to replace the TVs in my bedrooms and I'm looking for 42" models.

I don't need anything particularly fancy - just normal inputs, 1080i HD, nice bright screen, etc. I don't need any 'smart TV' bollocks.

This is an area I don't know much about - Does anyone have any recommendations for models & prices?

    Thanks.

    I have a 42" LG. Cost about 25k. LG 42LM5800.
    Also a Samsung 55". Cost about 45k. UA55H6400AK.

Both are plenty smart enough for me.

Whatever you do - don't buy LG (lucky goldstar) as they are shit.

    I bought my 50 " 6 months ago for 19K . LG .

Dumb Telli's are getting cheaper by the day, shop around, you'll find a 42 " for piss all.

I was at On Nut today, Lotus had a section where they where dumping Tellis out on special. Check that out.

Also Power Buy MBK is a good place to look.

Big C has a large range as well.

Spend the time getting around, its worth the effort.

    Stick with the name brands.

    Bullshit Albert,

I have the same 50 " LG here that I had in Australia, that one was still cranking along after 5 years service.

    Still have it stored actually.

I bought a Samsung 41" about 30 months ago for the bedroom, 24-25k, screen went red after a week, Numchai replaced it no ploplem, was ok for the next 2 years when the guarantee expired then uncannily developed one and a bit later another line permanently down the screen.

,I bought a Samsung first and thought it was great, then got an LG, I much prefer the LG, better picture, thinner model, and better sound.

LED and both around the 15 to 18,000 mark

I've bought four Samsung 5120 40" LED models. They're on special offer in Tescos (16,000 each)
