    Best apps for android phone

Ok so it's not the best one in the world being a cherry razor but it's quad core 1.2 and seems pretty well built. The sound is not very good though and I tried a few volume booster apps but none seem to do much. Likewise the battery saving ones and cleaning ones are not up to much. Any recommendations on must haves? I got the usual stuff mx player, you tube adobe reader. One that claims to read bar codes looked promising but does not seem to work.

that's a few to go on with, seems to be draining the balance though and I don't know where it's gone, I wonder if there is one to check you phone charges?

    Adobe Reader is crap.

Xiialive is a decent online radio app.

    Feedly for news.

Opera Mini Browser to get Betting sites.

WhatsApp and Viber for free calls and text.

OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox for Cloud storage.

    Flashscore for Footy results

SoundCloud to identify those annoying songs you hear on the radio and can't name.

^ I like the Android experience but as for downloading apps that tell you at what time of day to take a dump etc, not my style.

    A decent weather app.

    BBC news/sport.

    Angry Birds.

    Sorted.

I'm pretty much the same, actually.

Add xe currency and the very good independent app, swap angry birds for a couple of football games.

I've been meaning to remove about 20 others I never use.

Bookmark Android Drawer - Android Apps .apk Repository on your browser (chrome).
You can browse hundreds of apps.
I had a great one on my Nokia E71.
You could set phone profile, what numbers to accept, what numbers to reject and how and so on by cell tower, so you could set it at work to receive calls from colleagues , clients, bosses etc and to reject those calls with a busy signal or message at home for example.
haven't found anything similar for my android Experia.

Something that's a problem for me is that being a lazy fuck I bought it here rather than go to HK or Macao and ended up with the Chinese version which doesn't have google play store installed and seems to have some kind of block on it so I have to install apps from other sites like android drawer which doesn't necessarily have the latest or most popular apps.

It's in your settings. Look for "Storage" funnily enough.
