I stumbled across a site which enabled me to download every episode of "Round The Horne". I had feared that it would be dated and not appeal any more. I am delighted to say that they are superb and am saving them for when I move to the sticks in Thailand.
I cannot remember the actual site but you will find them if you look for them. They are brilliant.
Kenneth as rambling sid rumpoe will have you in stitches,
the BBC iplayer put these up on occasions, with that other side splitter mornington crescent, totely confuses the septics that does,
^ There was a rock band in Perth, Australia back in the 70's called Sid Rumpo.
Nice ones!!!
Brings back a few (good) memories. Round the Horne came on after the Billy Cotton Band Show, Sundays around 1pm.
Magnificent!!
Left a whole bunch of old tapes and records behind me, when I moved here. All sorts of stuff from the Goons to Round the Horne. Thanks to you guys maybe I'll be able to grab a piece of years ago, once again.
Ta!
I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.
I have all the Goon shows as well but they have not lasted as well as "Round The Horn" and although they are still enjoyable, they now seem to be dated. A bit disappointing, really.Originally Posted by Thaimato
Genius is a much over used word these days but I think Williams was. The second part of this is good as well.

I thought he was great until I tried to read his book a couple of months ago.
