Have Computer, Want Play Game

The last time I played on a computer (beside Solitaire) it was DOOM in the early nineties. Now that I've more time on my hand I would like to play again but as you may realize I'm a total novice. What game would you recommend ? Is GTA ok ? Or to complicated for a beginner ?
I've only a computer with mouse and keyboard, is there any other accessories I should consider buying ?

World Of Tanks is a good online game and it's free. The only problem with it is that if you download the game in N. America, you can only play on N. American servers. Now that I'm back in Thailand, if I download the one to play on Asian servers, I lose all my achievements and have to start from scratch again.

Absolutely no idea but I don't think there is anything high spec in the computer I have.

Maybe before investing in anything high tech, I should train with some basic games running on basic computers ....

just downloaded full free Zuma Deluxe for the wife..simple fun game methinks and certainly entertaining for her.
Never could play computer games ..too frustrating..never mastered Pong..555

In most shopping mall (in Bangkok at least) they usually have in the IT floor a shop where they can install all the apps you want for a small nominal fee. You chose the app you want, they download and install them in your iPad, or your phone. Cheap and easy.
