    Gravity

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned this film yet. I've seen it twice, it's a stunner.

There obviously isn't that much room for a story, so I wouldn't worry too much about the reviews, but go and see this film on the big screen in 3D, it will *never* work on a TV like it does in the cinema.

It is absolutely breathtaking from beginning to end, both in spectacle and excitement.

The very first shot is done in one take and lasts something like 13 minutes, it's spectacular. You just feel like you're floating around with them. The direction of this film should win Best Director hands down unless something really special comes along.

I won't even give any of the plot away; even though it's a basic premise it really works, although I understand there are plenty of nerds rubbishing the science, as if it matters.

It's a hell of a ride is all I can say!

    9/10

My wife saw it last week, and loved it. But she's a space freak, and I'm not, so I'll probably pass. She says she's going to go see it again, with the twins.

I saw "Hubble" a few weeks ago. That, too, is well worth seeing.

I don't blame you, but this is a completely different kind of film. There are no evil space aliens in it for a start...

^Same here. You need artic clothing to even go in a mall. Or a theatre. Or a hotel.
