    Funny....not

A person's sense of humour is of course individual....We all find things funny that other find stupid, or maybe offensive. That said, how about tv, films. books, songs, or recipes - comedies - that you just haven't found funny....That's not to say that others did - just not your cup of tea.

I'll start with 'Bread' - This was a very popular tv series in the 90s?? that was apparently considered a comedy. It made me vomit with its unfunniness.
Back off Margaret, you're on a sugar rush!

Although the Ali G show was funny, I have to say that the "Borat" movie was a disappointment. All the critics prasied him for his clever take on the darkside of American culture. But I thought the targets were too obvious (look! A fat black lady! Drunken Frat Boys! Cowboys!) and wasn't really that clever. Like Joe Queenan said, "Sacha Cohen is just another English public school boy who hates America."

A far superior movie satirizing America is "Idiocracy" by Mike Judge.

    I didn't rate it.
I thought it was kind of a one gag movie, ok for ten minutes but couldn't sustain itself for the full length.

    Seinfeld.
    Never made me laugh.
    not even once.

    What is funny about it?

Same shit as that program where the kid is in the wheelchair and his carer turns his back and he climbs out and does things.

Fucking rubbish as well - the one with the gay welsh guy in the village.

^^Got to say I thought the same at the start Squirrel, but The League is in a different league as there is actually some plot and character development and the jokes are very rarely repeated. (unlike Little Britain)

oh, i don't know, it was quite funny when that weird guy with funny hair started shouting "Fucking Niggas" at everybody and then said he wasn't a racist the next day. Hilarious

Nope. Never enjoyed it once. Just didn't do it for me.

I'm not a great fan of Harry Enfield either. However I do like Jasper Carrot.

^Again Harry Enfield is very repetative, quite funny, but by the third episode you know exactly what each character is going to do and say....same as Little Britain, Catherine Tait, etc....

I hear Jasper Carrot is very rich these days, didn't make it from his comedy either

    ^never heard of it.

Not funny.....2 pint of lager, Coupling, anything British that tries (badly) to copy American stuff and vice versa.

I watched The Royle Family again a couple of weeks ago, great stuff, but I spose you have to be northern to like it

^I'm dowmnloading Series 1 now, it is described as "a Scottish classic"....if it's as funny as kilts and haggis then I'll be happy.

CMN, have a look on torrent hunt, I think there's 3 seeders for series 1
