    Xbox 360

Going to treat myself to a shiny new Xbox 360 in a couple of months. My concern is if the ones they sell here are reliable and have the one year warranty. I can't find them in the local Big C, Carrefour, or Tescos. Is there a reputable chain store that sells them or do I have to take my chances in these little shops? Would a trip to Pantip Plaza be the best bet for deals/reliability or am I just over thinking this purchase way too much?

When I bought an iPod in LoS the guarantee was from Apple not the shop. I returned to the UK, dropped it, broke it, and had it replaced in the UK with no problems....This of course may be completely irrelevant to Xbox.

Never had the nerve to even try a claim on a warranty here, i reckon it would be a waste of time. I tend to buy electronic gear in the uk. If theres a problem i owuld ship it home and claim.
our American friends have problems with this due to the 110 v volts thing

^ Its not that large of a problem - you just need an extra piece to downgrade the voltage. I am fairly certain that the Xbox will be dual voltage and there is no problem with the plug itself. You guys from the UK have a problem with the pins - nowadays most things are dual voltage...

I got a memory card for my camera replaced under warranty. Took about 6 weeks. I'm sure companies like Sony will honour their warranties, but the staff may be a bit poor.

Thanks for your replies. I almost bought an Xbox 360 in Oz a couple of weeks ago for, what I later found out, would have been a great deal. A$698 with 3 games included. After loking around a bit I went back to the store (a Big W) and the sale was finished.

Has anyone here purchased an Xbox 360 here in Thailand yet?
