Not often a Lennon & McCartney song is bettered by a jam band that only played three concerts. Then again, with Brian Eno, Phil Manzanera, Justin Hayward & several other luminaries, what a jam session. The lyrics are an excerpt from the Tibetan Book of the Dead. 'Tomorrow Never Knows' by 801 Live.

David Byrne collaborated with Brian Eno to make 'My life in the Bush of Ghosts', 1981 or so. Ground breaking for the time, quite well known among 'serious' muso's. Jezebel Spirit is actually a recorded excorcism, set to music-

    Both excellent albums.

Then you have the more permanent collaborations. people that formed separate bands or made one off albums.

SuperHeavy (Mick Jagger, Damian Marley, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, A.R Rahman)

The travelling Wilburys (Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan et al.

Fistful of Mercy. (Ben Harper, Joseph Arthur, Dhani Harrison)

^ You can add "The girl is mine" ...

And an other Macca's collaboration "Ebony and Ivory"

Then people wonder, between Lennon and McCartney, who was the real genius ...

Todd Rundgren and Daryl Hall are brilliant together.

Do yourself a favour and listen to their other collaborations.

Some great stuff on here. Love the Travelling Wilbury's and Annie Lennox..MJ is a legend as well with his duo's.

I love Sheryl Crowe and her collaborations with both Sting and Kid Rock.

This one of the best duet's ever.

Unfortunately "collaboration" is mostly a marketing tool to double the sales of an album by targeting the fan of both artists.

If you have any doubt, just have a look at the current top singles :

    - Can't Hold Us
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Featuring Ray Dalton
    - Just Give Me A Reason
    P!nk Featuring Nate Ruess
    - Stay
    Rihanna Featuring Mikky Ekko
    - Thrift Shop
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Featuring Wanz
    - I Love It
    Icona Pop Featuring Charli XCX
    - Cruise
    Florida Georgia Line Featuring Nelly

    etc, etc, etc ...
The things we regret most is the things we didn't do
