InSIGHT Out! is for children and teenagers to express themselves and tell their own stories through digital photography.

The project started in Phang Nga, Thailand and Banda Aceh, Indonesia after the 2004 Asian tsunami disaster.

It expanded to work in Thailand’s conflict-affected provinces of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat near the Malaysia border.

InSIGHT Out!
is committed to teaching young people affected by natural or man-made disaster and economic or social discrimination.

InSIGHT Out!
encourages cross-cultural exchange in workshops bringing together kids from diverse ethnic and religious communities to shoot photos; create art; and make new friends.

InSIGHT Out! fosters leadership through youth ambassadors presenting their stories at schools, speaking at exhibitions and showcasing their photos and cultural performances at public events.

Our international team of media professionals and artists work in partnership with local schools and non-governmental organizations.

To date, InSIGHT Out! has trained more than 400 children and 35 adult staff and aims to work in other parts of Asia and link with youth throughout the world to have fun while exploring how visual language can develop personal and community understanding.
