    DVDRIP Torrents

Lately it seems that Torrents are coming out in DVDRIP files. So I tried one, it downloaded as a zip file. When I unzipped it it needed a password. It directed me to go to a website to get that password. Once I got the website it wanted me to participate in a questionare. The site was in Thai so I just pushed any answer. It then wanted me to disclose which phone company I was using and my number. I did not and exited the site. Is this usual, and if so how do you deal with it? Also what program do you use to burn DVDRIP files? Do they come out as an ISO? Please help me out here. Much prefer files I can just put on a memory stick and plug into DVD player or directly into the TV.

    No its not usual

    Delete the file

Dont download movies in zip files, check the contents of your download first

As above. As well as deleting the file also run a comprehensive anti virus / malware scan as these are ways they load shit onto your computer. if ever you download any file that tells you to go somewhere to get a password simply delete it and leave some feedback where you got it from to say it is a fake.
Treat everyone as a complete and utter idiot and you can only ever be pleasantly surprised !

Always read the comments before downloading, and check on the uploader if possible (on TPB, i.e., all the confirmed uploaders have skull icons next to their names)- if the uploader is listed as 'anonymous' steer clear.

Make sure the file you download is from a trusted uploader. On thepiratebay this is marked with a pink or green skull next to their name.

Look for the files with a lot of seeders & leachers. This will generally mean a decent file.

When looking at the torrent or file detail make sure its .avi or .mkv etc. Avoid anything .zip

    What site are you using?

Oh and DVDRIP just means it has been copied from a DVD, like BRRIP means it has come from a blue ray disk. CAM means its been filmed using a camcorder in the cinema etc etc. It has nothing to do with if the torrent is real or fake.
