    Does anybody know where I can buy Ricotta Cheese in Rayong? I'll go to Pattaya if I have to. Thanks;

    You could find it in any decent shop selling western ingredients.
    I don't know about Pattaya, but in Rimping Chiang Mai there is always some available.

    No need for a fly back to Italy.

    I've been to the two western shop's that I'm aware of, one in Rayong and the other in Ban Phe, neither have it. Don't have it at Makro or Tesco either. Sent an e-mail to the homemade-cheese co in Bangkok, they told me they mainly deliver in BKK area but would try to figure a way to get it to us. Don't need a ton of it, but on a regular basis, we just like to use it in our lasagna. Used some other kind of soft cheese, it's not near as good as ricotta though.

    Just found it at makro pattaya this week. It is in the corner by the eggs and cheese. 100plus baht for 400g.

    You can make it yourself though I don't know if it will prove cheaper.
    Milk vinegar/citric acid salt. And a pan.

    Ricotta is the same as paneer by the looks of it.

    Yeah AO, that's where we're buying ours, if it's in Rayong, I can't find it and have looked high and low, even tried to get a couple of shops to carry it, so far they haven't.

    Rayong does not have a lot of Western food, although I have not tried the little shop not far from BKK Rayong hospital... near the stop light. Do you know which one I mean?

    Wish I did and my friend in Ban Chang did. He drives to Pattaya for all western supplies, and uses the fresh market at the pier for seafood. The best of both worlds.

    But I finally saw Rim Ping market a few weeks ago. It is miles above any other place in Thailand. The best supermarket by far.

    Where is RIm Ping? Honestly I am very impressed with Macro Pattaya. WAY better than Rayong.

    Rimping Supermarket

    Up north, 4 of them.

    I enjoyed shopping there, Villa quality but at lower prices. A lot of products I have never seen elsewhere too.
