Lets make some savoury cheese scones ( with pics )

Lets have a go at making a nice little savoury cheese scone to brighten up tommorows lunchbox.

This should be quick and easy I have never done this before so lets have a go ,, I am cooking the chicken at the moment so there is room in the oven to get these little boys in alongside the bird for 20 mins.

    Ingredients as
    follows

1.. 200g of self raising flour

    2. pinch of salt

    3. 40g of butter

    4. 60g of good strong flavour cheese ( dont skimp here )

    5. 100 ml of milk .

Here we go gentlemen start your ovens 180 on the fan oven

First we put the flour- butter + cheese grated into the bowl like so

Then chop it all up with the knife and rub in the butter with your fingers lightly to make a nice crumbly mixture like so

Then we add the 100ml of milk and turn out on a floured board like so

After rolling your mixture out flat about 1 inch thick and cutting to shape put on grease proof paper in a tin ready for the oven , at this point I egg washed the tops and put a little extra grated cheese on the tops before they go in the oven .

Here we are 20 mins later ,as soon as theyre cool enuf I,m gonna slice one in half wap a bit of butter in and ,,,,,,,,,,get in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well that was bloody delicious! even though I say so myself , I,m even wondering if any are gonna make the ol lunch box tommorow,,,,,,,such is life give em a go enjoy
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

I think you'll find that it was Albert Steptoe that used his dentures, son Harold was most disgusted

Looking bloody good. But what sauce did you eat them with? or was the cheese enough? I'm thinking Branston pickle would go very well.

Saying that though, 2 days ago I was dipping french bread into wasabi.

    I'm a dipper.
