Wife bought some bone in "pork shoulder steaks" ...at least that's what it said on the pkg. So I marinaded em all day in a homemade marinade. Don't ask. I don't even remember what all was in it. Then did em up on the grill for dinner.
There was some mustard and mustard powder involved, so maybe that's why they look yellowish on the grill. Or it could have been the blazing hot sun. Basted and swabbed with more of the marinade while grilling.
Done and off:
Wife made some mash with gravy. Very nice.
It may have been cheap...but you can't beat the taste of my meat.

^^ Bet it wasn't as cheap as this...
Something I was offered for dinner a while ago, looks a bit similar to yours on the grill.
But... barbecued cow's udder.
I'll try anything once. Once only in this case.
^ read the last line of his post. My guess would be "not good"
^Ah...skimmed right by that. Note to self, pass on the udder.
^, ^^ Yes, it was about as bad as it sounds. Very fatty and very chewy.
Another good evening for the dogs!
As a tax loss scam why not set up a restaurant dealing with the unmentionable bits of dead cows, pigs, chicken, lambs, raccoons, ferrets and slunks.
The brave would try but after few months it would fail. Result.

Not an accountant, just evil.
Orrens, in Isaan the restuarant would probably do pretty well and I think your plan would fail. There's not many parts of an animal not eaten.
I've never seen a ferret in Thailand but we get the occasional mongoose in our area and recently there was a guy trying to trap even them... for food.
Worked through lunch so arrived home starving. Was going to have sausages, beans and chips but no bloody beans. So I replaced them with peas. Needed tomato sauce after the first bite and my sausage to chip ratio was well off. Finished off the chips by covering them in sarsons vinegar.
I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic
My grandfather on Storekeeper's side of the family dined on possum and squirrel. That's according to my mother's account of her life growing up with grandad. I couldn't imagine eating either of those critters. Unless of course I was really hungry...maybe.
My paternal side would eat just about any part of a cow except as I mentioned the udder(and the hooves). Much of which I find disgusting.
Anyone for some tasty tripe?
I was thinking Western hence the tax loss aspect.
I apolgoise for not mentioning badgers and ortolans and those cheese mites that are banned in the EU.
Orrens
I ought to get out more.
^^I guess that don't work. Worth a shot anyway.
Is that pork happy?
edit: temporary assignment in Panama or holiday?
Pork, yes.
Nope, not working here. Just having a nosey around.
