But why?. I'm all for trying new things but deep frying steak?. If you went to any good Steakhouse around the world and asked them how long they deep-fry theirs for and at what temperature you know what their answer would be. And there's a reason for that

Yep it just makes no sense. The outer texture must be shit as I prefer the char broil from a hot grill as you would get in a proper steakhouse or from my own grill at home.

I was drinking with a steakhouse chef and he said when pressured he dropped the "well done" steaks into the deep fryer as the punters wouldn't know any better.
