I have been told that cheese can cause carcinogenic cancer if reheated.

^ sweet. How long did you boil them for? Nothing stuck to those bones.

Reminds me. I havent sous vide'd ribs yet. Gotta give that a bash

    Any recommendations for rubs here?

^Sorry, but all I did to those ribs were thaw them out and warm them in the oven. They were the last pack I had from Hickory butchers, who no longer exist .

Got me beat why one of the rib joints in town - or a new venture - don't pick up the slack and cryovac a few of their products then advertise them properly for pick up from their restaraunts or get them into supermarkets. Everyone likes ribs but very few have the skills or cooking equipment to make some themselves, these cryovac ribs from Hickory were sensational in that all you needed to do was take them out of the pack and heat them up (a microwave would be fine for this). Taste was 10 from 10 too, they were perfect.

Get in Villa and ask them to stock the Doner Meat from Iceland alongside the other stuff, probably end up costing £6 a pack tho but at least its on tap when you want one. Reminds me, must get some salad and pita in for the weekend.

I've seen it once in Bangkok! I still get all misty eyed when I think about it.

A lot of expats seem to moan about the food options here.
I guess they haven't lived in Myanmar...
Tonight I am going for Peruvian food, lunch (sorry for the tangent post, but a meal is a meal) was a pleasant Japanese lunch set at The Kempinski- a good go to place for Japanese in town.
