Lately the Mrs has started baking bread again and she is moving a load of different styles of bread every morning according to specific orders.

Was in a bar this afternoon and the owner come up to me and told me my wifes hamburger rolls are the best ever and he will order daily.

As I don't eat hamburgers, as the bread rolls are shit here in Pattaya I rang the wife and asked her to make me one.

Got home and she brought me a plate with salad and chips and the best ferking hamburger I have had for years.

The bread roll didn't collapse or get soggy, held its shape perfectly and tasted like real bread.

No wonder she is up every day at 5.00 am making these works of art she delivers before I leave my bedroom.

A real break through for Pattaya and beyond..........................
Yes of the countless thousands of loaves of bread and burger buns baked and happily consumed around Pattaya each day, they've all been total shit. Until now.

When you sober up and read some of the cringe-worthy bullshit you post at night, do you ever think that laying off the booze or at least not posting once you've started drinking makes sense?.

Inspired by the Spaghetti carbonara thread I threw together as near a traditional one as I could with what I had on hand last night, using only bacon, egg yolk and parmesan. dropping the almost aldente spag and some spag water and some fresh basil in with the bacon and finishing the cook in the pan before applying the egg yolk/cheese mixture.
    unbelievably quick and delicious.
As I was scoffing it down it occured to me that bacon, cheese, eggs and pasta is probably not the healthiest food to be eating at the best of times let alone just before bed. Then I thought, FUCKIT.

Mrs Worx complained about a kiniaow Khao Pad Goong she bought the other day, only had 3 prawns in it and for what was probably 45 Baht she expected more goddammit . So we made some today for the first time (who cooks this stuff at home in Thailand?), the image below stolen off the net was the benchmark to shoot for but without any shells left on the prawns obviously.

And this is the result, dressed with a honey-soy-lemon juice combo that was found while recipe surfing and sounded too good not to add seeing as the ingredients were all in the fridge already. Turned out ok.

For starters I'm half Irish half Italian half Mexican. But they are called Prawns in Australia (see proof below), Shrimp is Nth American thing.

    Dinner-gc1-jpg

Th prawns are 10 times better down there, more so bought fresh off the trawlers who cook them on their way home and after they tie-up after a night out. Cheaper too, go figure...

S6 Edge. I think you can get an S9 now but I can't justify upgrading, the 6 has been and still is brilliant.

Where does “put another shrimp on the barbie” come from?

The expression stems from a 1984 television advertisement created by the Australian Tourism Commission for audiences in the United States. The original ad starred Paul Hogan two years before he played Mick Dundee in the astronomically successful Hollywood blockbuster Crocodile Dundee (1986), when he shot to fame in the US. In 1984, Hogan was relatively unknown outside of Australia, where he’d entertained domestic audiences with his quintessentially Australian larrikin humour as the lead man on comedy sketch program The Paul Hogan Show (1973-84). The shrimp ad, and then the Dundee franchise, catapulted Hogan to international stardom.

Indeed. I've been to hundreds of BBQ's in Oz, total amount of prawns seen on hotplates is zero!. Prawns get boiled and you dig them out of an esky filled with a salty ice slurry. Also, nobody - and I mean nobody - drinks Fosters down there either, despite what advertising targeting overseas viewers might suggest.

Not sure what you mean, but it's proven fact that 8 out of 5 people don't understand fractions.

Can I also add that the quintessential ‘Aussie beer’ XXXX - much to the chagrin of Aussies, Queenslanders in particular - is owned by Lion Nathan. A Kiwi* company.

*Or at least it was until Lion themselves were brought out by the Japanese.

Yep that's what I posted mate. Up to 4 farang chefs who now agree the bread my wife makes is superb...........Best in Pattaya is their claim.

So you'll have no problem naming the 4 Farang chefs then?. Maybe I know some of them and if I don't, I'll probably know someone who does. To say it's the best bread in Pattaya is not as ludicrous as your completely idiotic claims of your wife's pies being the best in Thailand, but for the same reason on a much smaller scale it's still ludicrous. Do you have any idea how many businesses and hotels are baking bread here and how many different types of bread and rolls they're producing?. It would take a fucking year of eating bread 5 times a day to try them all by which time 30 businesses would be gone bust and another 50 opened so it's impossible, despite what these latest batch of Farang chefs you've invented have said .

Have a beer an lighten up?. How about I have a dozen beers and start posting laughable bullshit that's an insult to normal peoples intelligence, or is there only room here for 1?. Btw I see you've got another 4 pie outlets signed up, that makes it 6,450 + 4 large supermarket chains now by my count .
